Det är något speciellt med svarta järnklubbor och wedgar. Visst, det håller inte i evig tid och man blir lite smådeppig när man sliter sulorna och färgen börjar försvinna - men när de står i bagen i skön stealth mode är de hur snygga som helst.

Titleist Introduces T-Series T100•S and T200 Player’s Distance Irons in Limited Black Finish

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (Aug. 13, 2020) – The striking long-range performance of the Titleist T-Series T100•S and T200 player’s irons – powered by breakthrough technology for explosive distance in a player-preferred shape – can now be experienced in a stealthy all-black setup.

Available Aug. 28 for a limited time, the new T-Series T100•S and T200 Black irons are finished with a sleek High Polish Black PVD coating continually requested by tour players and members of #TeamTitleist. Each model is complemented by a glare-reducing matte black shaft – DG Onyx AMT Black (T100•S) or Project X LZ Onyx (T200) – and an all-black Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grip.

“T100•S and T200 have proven to be incredible feats of engineering that really show what it takes to be a Titleist iron,” said Josh Talge, Vice President, Titleist Golf Club Marketing. “It’s the ultimate blend of classic shaping and modern technology. You’re getting the look and feel of a true player’s iron, but with the added speed, launch and forgiveness that allows you to take aim from farther away. We’ve heard from many golfers asking us to build these all-black editions – the combination of the Black PVD finish with the matte black shaft and matching grip is just stunning.”

T-Series irons have quickly become the most-played iron model on the PGA Tour, where Titleist has been the longstanding #1 iron since 2005. Cameron Smith won the Sony Open in Hawaii playing a set of T100 Black irons. Lanto Griffin, who put in his request for black T100’s after seeing Smith post a picture of them on Instagram, used them to win the Houston Open.

“The first time I saw these irons they looked so good I didn’t want to put a scratch on them,” said Smith. “The black finish just looks tighter to me and really fits my eye. It also helps to keep a little bit of the shine off which I really like.”

T100•S irons are the only fully-forged player’s distance iron in the category, designed to deliver the same tour-level precision and signature feel as T100 in 2-degree stronger lofts for longer distance. Each iron has been individually calibrated to give better players the added distance they need to score lower, while preserving the feel and precision required for superior shot shaping.

T200 irons deliver powerfully playable distance in a tour-inspired shape – with Max Impact Technology, a striking innovation that extends maximum speed across the entire face of mid and long irons while preserving superior sound and feel. A super thin forged face is backed by a unique polymer core – developed in partnership with Titleist Golf Ball R&D – to provide consistently better distance from every swing, without sacrificing looks, feel, trajectory or stopping power.

Vokey Design Introduces Limited Jet Black SM8 Wedges
FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (Aug. 11, 2020) – The unrivaled craftsmanship, performance and technology of Titleist Vokey Design SM8 wedges – the overwhelmingly most played wedges on the PGA Tour – will now be available in a tour-inspired all-black configuration.

This limited release features SM8’s Jet Black raw finish enhanced with black paint fill in the logos and graphics, complemented by a Dynamic Gold S200 Black Onyx shaft and exclusive Golf Pride New Decade Multi Compound Black/Gray grip with BV Wings.

Cameron Smith, who won this year’s Sony Open playing all-black SM8’s, is among a group of tour players who prefer the Jet Black finish. (SM8 is also available in Tour Chrome, Brushed Steel and the tour-favorite Raw finish.)

“I’ve been stocking more and more Jet Black heads on the Tour Van each year,” said Vokey Tour Representative Aaron Dill. “Players love the look of it, and the contrast you get when you add custom stamping and paintfill – it just pops. Jet Black also helps players reduce glare on those really bright days. When you add in the black shaft and grip, it’s a sharp setup.”

Limited Jet Black SM8 wedges are available in golf shops beginning Friday, Aug. 28, with all 23 loft, bounce and grind combinations (in both RH and LH) available through custom order or WedgeWorks on

Great wedge play comes from distance control, shot versatility and spin. SM8 improves performance in all three areas through the following key innovations.

Reimagined Progressive CG is pushed forward from the face for increased MOI (up to a +7% increase in the higher lofts) – producing improved distance and trajectory control, better feel and a club face that simply wants to square up at impact for more consistent results. To achieve this, Voke’s team lengthened the hosels and counterbalanced that weight with high-density tungsten low in the toe.

Vokey’s six Tour-Proven Sole Grinds – F, S, M, K, L and D – developed and refined through decades of work with the best shot makers in the game, allow golfers of all skill levels to be precisely fit for their swing type (steep, neutral, shallow), shot making style and course conditions (firm, neutral, soft).

100% Inspected Spin Milled Grooves are cut with a level of precision that is unique by finish, producing maximum spin and shot control. Micro-grooves are individually cut in between grooves, which maximize spin on partial shots. A proprietary heat treatment is applied to the impact area to double the durability of the groove without impacting feel – making it the most durable groove in golf.

The Vokey Wedge Selector tool on helps golfers select the proper loft, bounce and grind options for their swing and course conditions. Vokey recommends that golfers visit their local Titleist fitter to confirm the results. LINK:

  •     Expanded stamping options, including 10-character Straight/Freestyle stamping and 15 characters around the toe; and
